Explore the ancient town centre of La Laguna, declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Gran Canaria, Biosphere Reserve, also offers unique natural spaces, hidden corners and a range of possibilities for hiking, ravine exploring, climbing or cycling. The centre of the island, with its friendly villages like Santa Brigida, or the impressive setting of Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga, are some of the places that mustn’t be missed by anyone who is here to relax for a few days. Going for a pleasant walk round Tejeda or visiting the dramatic ravines that “invade” the island are other attractions. If we stop in the capital city, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, we will find the impressive beach of Las Canteras. Right in the centre of the city, it is a source of fresh air for the inhabitants of the capital and for all visitors. Its impressive natural reef and crystalline waters also captivate swimmers.

Fuerteventura, the second biggest island in the archipelago, and full of enormous beaches of white sand, offers unique landscapes, such as the mythical Mount Tindaya, believed by the aborigines to possess magical powers and which today preserves important remains of those inhabitants; or the rolling plains, dotted with gofio windmills from past centuries (gofio is the flour made from toasted cereals which is still an essential ingredient in the islanders’ diet).
